My First Hike!

Mommy and Daddy took me on my first big hike! I loved it. I even have my own seat that sits on Daddy's back so I can see everything. We hiked through mud and snow, and climbed up big hills all the way to Long Lake. It was very pretty. Take a look at my latest adventure!

BBQ Time!

One of Mommy and Daddy's favorite things about summer is going to BBQs. They love the food and the company--I love all the attention! This weekend, we went to a BBQ with some of my parents' friends and I was a huge hit, especially with the ladies as you can see. :)

 

 

 

 

First Trip to the Pool!

Today, Mommy and Daddy took me to the pool for the first time. I really liked it. I barely had to wear any clothes and I got to splash water all around. I think I'm gonna like this swimming thing!

Happy Father's Day, Daddy!

Today is something called "Father's Day". I thought everyday was "Emmett Day", but apparently, Daddys get their day too. Mommy said that we had to do whatever Daddy wanted today, and we just had to like it. But all he wanted to do was eat foods that Mama doesn't usually want him to eat. So, Daddy ate a bacon, sausage, egg and cheese bagel for breakfast at Big Daddy's Bagels and Chipotle Mexican Grill for lunch. I stuck with my normal bottle. FOR NOW...

You see, I didn't have any money to buy Daddy a present for his first Father's Day, so instead I surprised him by GETTING MY FIRST TOOTH!!! I have been a little grumpy lately and haven't been sleeping much (you trying growing a tooth!), so Mama was really surprised that I slept so good last night. After sticking her finger in my mouth and digging around for what seemed like forever, she screamed, "Emmett, you got your first tooth!" I'm still not really sure what all this means, but Daddy says I am one step closer to a eating a Big Mac and that's good enough for me.

I have been having some belly problems this week, so Mommy started feeding me prunes. They look kind of icky, but they are my favorite new food. Mommy likes them because they help my belly. I like them because they're super messy! :)

Mommy, Aunt Lisa, and Aunt Dana took Natalie (my girlfriend) and I to the zoo for the first time. The animals were okay, but I found that chewing my stroller strap was much more exciting. I did feel a strong connection to some of the animals though...especially the monkeys.

Here is the shirt Auntie Dana brought me. The day this was taken, I hadn't gotten much sleep (and Mom hadn't either) so she said that perhaps a "Mr. Grumpy" shirt would have been more appropriate. I don't get it, but Mom thought it was funny.
