Pinch Me

Yesterday, we had our second follow-up with my cardiologist, Dr. Y, since my double switch surgery. And, once again, we got a great report! He says that my heart is functioning beautifully and that I have no activity restrictions anymore. Music to my ears! And a HUGE relief to my Mommy and Daddy. They still can't believe that the surgery they had been dreading since before I was even born is over...and I'm having a hard time believing it myself. We have a lot to be thankful for...a healing God, amazing friends, a supportive family, and incredible doctors. It's been a good year, and it looks like it's only going to get better :)

BFF

It doesn't get much better than spending time with your BFF. Last weekend, my Momma got to do just that. Her best friend of 20 YEARS (wow, that's a long time!), Dana, and her family, came to visit. While we didn't have much time together, we made the most of it. I put on the charm for her cute 3 year old daughter, Natalie, and I even spent some quality time with her seven month old baby, Charlotte. Gotta keep my options open...afterall, either one of them could be looking for a prom date one of these days, and they're both pretty darn cute :)

We ate, we played, we celebrated Natalie's birthday, we laughed. It was a good time, and we miss them already. Come back, Auntie D!

So Much To Say...

I know, I know...I've been a slacker. It's just that we were all a little "blogged out" after the surgery. Momma wore her fingers out typing all those updates on me!

Needless to say, I am doing terrific! I'll update more on that later. First though, I wanted to let you know what I have been up to the last few weeks. Soon after Grandma Donna and the fam left, we had our next round of visitors. I am soooo popular. This time, my Uncle Monte, Aunt Sarah, and cousin Addisyn came to visit me. It was their first trip out here, and I was super excited to show them my hometown. Unlike Momma and Daddy, I can honestly say that I am a "Native". That's a pretty big deal around these parts :)

We had so much fun together! We looked at fish at the aquarium (my favorite), took a couple drives through the mountains and Rocky Mountain National Park, and threw a big 4th of July bash. All in all, one of my more successful hosting gigs. And, since Uncle Monte takes about 500 pictures a day, I have plenty of photographic evidence to support that claim. Here are just a few of the thousands of pictures from their visit!
