I was so relieved and proud to walk into the room this morning and see those big, beautiful, brown eyes looking back at me. He looks amazing today! He's still a bit sedative drunk, but he's talking a little and tugging at this lines a lot :) They just removed his left atrium line, and they will be removing another chest tube tube this afternoon. Sometime today, I WILL hold him :)
Unfortunately, Mom and Dad had to leave early this morning, so they didn't get to see him awake. We are just happy that they got to spend so much time with us. Safe travels, Grandma Cookie and Papa Mike...we love you!

Yeah it is so good to hear that he is talking and awake, hopefully by now you have held him. We will be sending a little video to say hello from Mekaya and Kai later. He looks great. xoxoxo
He is such a brave little man. I do honestly believe he is destined to do great things in his life to have gone through so much already. He could not have been born to a better mom and dad to help him through his journey of life. Get better soon Emmett!!
He needs to be here with grandmas adjustable bed and baby....can't wait to hold my boy... i will watch dinasours all day long with my big man

Hip, hip hooray! He looks like he is getting back to himself ... in record time ... I bet the nurses are just shaking their heads and smiling :) Can't wait to hear news of you getting some snuggle time!
